For instance, the Kobold 140 is one of the few vacuum cleaners on the market permitted to carry the official German testing authority seal, (TÜV-Prüfzeichen) "Suitable for Allergy Sufferers".

Vorwerk carpeting is the only one to have received an official seal of recommendation from the German Allergy and Asthma Sufferers Association. Vorwerk Carpets also received the Futures Award 2006 from the Trend Research Institute Matthias Horx for its "smart carpet".
