The kit includes a 16 L cast iron casserole, a Proofing Basket with a cotton liner and cover, a Starter Jar with a date band and temperature indicator, a 2-in-1 Dough Scraper, a Silicone Spatula, a Bread Sling and a Dough Scoring Tool with an additional blade.
The kit supports the main steps of homemade bread baking, including starter preparation, proving, shaping, scoring and baking the dough.
The Starter Jar, the 2-in-1 Dough Scraper, the Silicone Spatula and the Bread Sling are dishwasher safe. However, the temperature indicator on the Starter Jar is not dishwasher safe. The Proving Basket and The Dough Scoring Tool must be cleaned by hand.
The Dough Scoring Tool has a very sharp blade and must be handled with care. Always keep it out of reach of children.
No. The Proofing Basket is intended for proofing and shaping the dough. Remove the dough from the basket before baking.
The Bread Sling and the Cast bread Iron Casserole are heat resistant up to +260°C. Do not place any other components in the oven.
The date ring helps you keep track of your sourdough starter routine, while the temperature indicator helps you monitor the approximate temperature of the starter.
